Award $5,000

The Review of Financial Studies is pleased to present the Young Researcher Prize. Authors are eligible for the prize awarded at the annual meetings of the Western Finance Association if:

1. No author on the paper received either their current academic appointment or most recent Ph.D. more than 3 years prior to when the paper was submitted to the RFS.
2. The paper was initially submitted within two calendar years prior to the year in which the award is issued. Thus, papers submitted in 2011 and 2012 are eligible for the prize given in 2013.

Authors that are eligible to have their paper considered for this prize should notify the editorial office upon the manuscript’s initial submission. The winning paper will be selected by the board of editors following the selection rules for the annual best paper prize.
